Promo codes are a great tool to attract new customers and incentivize repeat orders from existing customers

This is a unique set of letters, numbers, symbols that a customer can receive and enter at checkout in their next order to receive a discount. Share promo code in your email blasts, social media channels, promo materials, or with specific influencers, partners, etc.

Customers can apply promo codes at checkout.

We currently have 3 available promo code types:

1. FIXED VALUE DISCOUNT 2. PERCENTAGE OFF DISCOUNT 3. FREE MENU ITEM DISCOUNT

Adjustments

To add a new promo code, click "Create New". In the first field, enter the name of the promo code, the set of letters, numbers, symbols (for example: FREEPIZZA) that you will share with customers.

Select the promo code type.

Applicable menu items and categories: You can specify the menu items and menu categories linked with the promotion. You can exclude some of them, if necessary. A list of menu categories will be displayed with the ability to select individual menu items. The "Valid until" field will allow you to select the start and end date of the promo code.

Set frequency of use:

  • Unlimited use - does not apply the frequency of use to the promo code.

  • One-time - can only be used once and by one customer.

  • One-time per customer - can only be used once per customer.

Status:

Select “Active” if you want the promo code to start working or, if required, select the “Draft” status to disable the promo code, without deleting it.

1. FIXED VALUE DISCOUNT - USE CASES

Seasonal menus (specials)

For example, you have a special menu offer on "wings". Offer your customer a special promo code, through which they will receive a $15 discount on their order if they add wings and have a minimal cart price of $50 (you can set your own conditions as you wish), active between November 8th to 22nd.

To set up this promo code, use these settings:

Sorry for the delay

For example, if the customer experiences a delay with their order or a similar inconvenience, offer them a $15 promo code for their next order. The customer will be able to apply a $15 discount on their next order, given the order is at least $15. It is a one-time code, active until December 31st.

To set up this promo code, use these settings:

First or second order incentive

For example, you want to incentivize a customer to order, either for the first time or for the second time (build loyalty), you can provide a $20 discount on their order, if the order amount is at least $40. It is a one-time code, active until December 31st.

To set up this promo code, use these settings:

Share a review (coming soon)

For example, you offer a $5 reward to customers who share their review on Yelp or Google Reviews. A customer will then be able to apply a $5 discount to their next order, regardless of the order amount. It is a one-time code, active until December 31st.

To set up this promo code, use these settings:

2. PERCENTAGE OFF DISCOUNT - USE CASES

Birthday promo code

For example, a customer's birthday is coming up and you want to provide them with a promo code to incentivize them to order from your restaurant. One week before their birthday, you can send a promo code that includes a 22% discount, regardless of the order amount, active for one week. It is a one-time code.

To set up this promo code, use these settings:

Promo code type: PERCENTAGE DISCOUNT Promo code name: TOMBIRHDAY22 Applicable menu items and categories: SELECT ALL CATEGORIES OF MENU (DON’T EXCLUDE ANY ITEMS) Discount in percentage: 22% OFF (example) Minimum order amount: $0 (example; if not needed) Valid until: NOVEMBER 22nd (example; if Tom's birthday is Nov 15th) Use frequency: ONE-TIME ONLY

Launch new menu items

For example, if you release a new menu item, you can send a promo code to your customers to incentivize trying them. A 30% discount, valid from November 8 to November 22, on new menu items, with an order amount of at least $50. It is a one-time code per customer.

To set up this promo code, use these settings:

Promo code type: PERCENTAGE DISCOUNT Promo code name: TRYNEW@STELLAS Applicable menu items and categories: SELECT CATEGORIES OF MENU WHICH YOU HAVE UPDATED (EXCLUDE OLD ITEMS) Discount in percentage: 30% OFF (example) Minimum order amount: $50 (example) Valid until: NOVEMBER 22nd (example; if you launch updates on Nov 8th) Use frequency: ONE-TIME PER CUSTOMER

First order

For example, you want to incentivize new customers to order your specialty pizza. You offer a 30% discount for a first-time order through your website. The 30% discount will apply just on the special menu items that you specified, if the order is at least $35. It is a one-time code per customer, active until December 31st.

To set up this promo code, use these settings:

3. FREE MENU ITEM DISCOUNT

Free pizza when the order is at least $59

For example, if a customer's order cart is $60 and they enter the promo code, a free menu item will automatically be added to their cart. You can set up such an offer without restrictions, available to unlimited buyers and uses, at your discretion.

To set up this promo code, use these settings:
