How to manage your incoming orders from the dashboard
Ordebyte is integrated with Square POS system - all online orders will be streamlined directly to Square and automatically sent to the assigned printer.
However, to manage the orders, and assign a driver for delivery, you must follow the instructions below.
Receive a new order
The estimated time of arrival (ETA)
Take into consideration that preparation and delivery time has been set in Delivery conditions and zones. If an online order is placed for delivery at 2:45pm, with a selected preparation and delivery time set to 45 min, the estimated time of arrival to the customer will be 3:30pm.
When you receive a new order, it will be accompanied by a continuous sound notification and the appearance of a new order card that requires attention.
To accept the order, tap the order status changing button:

After you press "Accept order", the customer sees that their order has been accepted. If you use automatic order acceptance, then this status will automatically set.
Dispatch a driver

Press the "Start preparing" button to assign a driver who will be picking up and delivering the order to the customer. This will bring up a pop-up window with the following choices:
Delivery by own drivers - to deliver yourself
Delivery service providers - to use Orderbyte's delivery networks

After a DSP driver is assigned, the driver's information will automatically appear in the order. All information about the order, restaurant's and customer's addresses, contact numbers, and comments will be automatically displayed to the driver.
Note! Driver's arrival time will be scheduled according to the order prep time set in Delivery rules. This means that if the set prep time is 20 min, then the driver will be assigned to arrive and collect the order 20 min after the customer has placed the order. Let us know if you want to change prep time settings.
Tap "Order is ready" when the order is prepared for collection. The information and update will be displayed to the driver and the customer.

Tap "Handed out" - when the order has been collected by the driver (or the customer, if it is a pickup order).

"Order is delivered"
If the order is delivered by a driver from our Delivery service providers (DSP), the status will be updated automatically after the driver drops-off the order to the customer.
If the order is delivered by your own drivers, tap when you have delivered the order.


After the order is delivered, it will disappear from "Active orders" and appear in "Order history".
Pickup orders
If you accept a pickup order, after the status "Start preparing", there will be no window for selecting the delivery method. The button immediately displays the next status to select - "Order is ready".
Cancel the order
If you need to cancel the order, click the "X" button in the upper right corner of the incoming order and in the pop-up window, confirm the cancellation.
